Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour kicks off at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford

Thousands of fans turned out Friday to attend the first of three sold-out shows for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour at MetLife Stadium.

Many fans could be seen with decked-out cars in the venue’s parking lot. Some told News 12 that this is the first time they have seen the pop star perform in person.

“We’ve been listening to Taylor Swift for a while,” says Grace Michlik of East Brunswick. “We’ve never seen her in concert.”

Swift fans also traded friendship bracelets in the parking lot.

“Trading bracelets has been my favorite part. So nice and so sweet,” said 15-year-old Leah Fox.
